Due to popular demand, we are designing rear speaker adapters for the 1995-1999 Toyota Avalon. We will have the prototype done in about a week. Once they are test fitted an tweaked, we will put them for sale on our website. We hope to have them on our website in about a month.

Count me in! I compared the openings between the front and rear doors.  I bet you can get bigger speakers than 6.5" in the rear.

The openings are quite large.  The limitations are the depth behind the speaker adapters, obstructions in the door panel, and the grill in the door panel only being around 4" in diameter.

I will post a reply when these adapters are for sale on our website.  If you subscribe to the post, you will know when these are for sale right away.

I'm looking to buy a a set of front and back speaker adapters for a 98 Toyota Avalon. I see that the front's are available to buy, and I'd like to beta test the back ones, if that option is still available.

We have a beta tester lined up already.  If something falls through with him, I will get in contact with you.

When do you think the rear ones will be available for purchase, and how much do you anticipate them costing?

We got a little behind on this project.  We will be sending them to the beta tester early next week.  The release date just depends on when he is able to test them, and if the original design fits properly, or needs adjustments.

We are not exactly sure how they will be priced yet.  They will most likely be priced $15-$30.  You can get a 50% rebate of the purchase price by sending us photos of your speaker installation for our photo gallery site:    http://www.speaker-installation-photos.com/

Alright, last question, I promise Would it be possible to put 6 x 9" speakers in the front or the back adapters? They look like they would be large enough to accomodate these larger speakers.

We could probably fit cutouts for 6x9" speakers in the speaker adapters.  The problem is that the 6x9" speakers would not line up with the factory grills in the door panels very well.
